About GADVASU:
Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University, an offshoot of Punjab Agricultural University, Ludhiana was first established at Hissar in 1962 where the College of Veterinary Science already existed since 1948. Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Sciences University was set up on 9th August, 2005 at Ludhiana to serve the society by promoting the livestock production, health and prevention of diseases through integrated teaching and extension programmes.

Applications are invited upto April 12, 2010 for the following posts on contract basis initially for a period of six months (extendable subject to performance) or till the termination of the scheme whichever is earlier for the Regional Livestock and Poultry Research and Training Centre for Kandi Area at Talwara (Distt. Hoshiarpur).

1. Stock Assistant (G-III),
Eligibility:

* 10+2 with Science with 2 year’s diploma from recognized University/ institution.
* Knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric.

Salary: 10300+HRA

2. Computering Assistant (G-III),
Eligibility:

* 10+2 with the knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric level.
* Certificate course on Computer applications (Window XP Photoshop, corel Draw, Page Maker and M.S. office) of atleast one year from any recognised institution.
* Typing in Punjabi and English.

Salary: 10300+HRA

3. Store-keeper (G-III),
Eligibility:
M.B.A./M.Com./ M.A. Economics with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level
OR
B.A./B.Sc./B.C.A./B.Com./B.B.A. with two years experience in handling of stores with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. Must indicate CPF/GPF/PF and ESI numbers in the experience certificate.
OR
10+2 Ist division with two years diploma in Store-keeping/Material Management or equivalent from recognized Institutions with three years experience in handling of stores with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric level. Must indicate CPF/GPF/PF and ESI Numbers in the experience certificate.
OR
10+2 with Science/Matric with one year diploma/certificate in Store-keeping/Material Management or Equivalent from recognized Institution with five years experience in handling of stores with knowledge of Punjabi upto Matric level. Must indicate CPF/GPF/PF and ESI numbers in experience certificate.
Salary: 10300+HRA

4. Steno-typist,
Eligibility:

* Graduate from a recognized university.
* Shorthand speed of 50 w.p.m. and 80 w.p.m. in Punjabi and English to be transcribed at a speed of 10 w.p.m. and 15 w.p.m. respectively.
* Matric level certificate of Punjabi.
* The candidates who qualify the written test in shorthand and type in Punjabi & English will be required to qualify in the practical test of Computer or any word processing software.

Salary: 5910+HRA

5. Drivers,
Eligibility:
Should be atleast Middle pass, must possess a driving license. Working Knowledge of Punjabi.
Salary: 5910+HRA

6. Laboratory Attendants (G-IV),
Eligibility:
10+2 with Science or Matric with one year Diploma/Certificate in Laboratory Technician or ITI (Machinist) and knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric.
OR
Matric with Science and 2 years experience in the relevant field and knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric
Salary: 5910+HRA

7. Animal Attendants (G-IV)),
Eligibility:
10+2 with Science or Matric with one year Diploma/Certificate in the relevant field with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric.
OR
Matric with Science with 2 years experience in the relevant field with knowledge of Punjabi up to Matric
Salary: 5910+HRA

8. Messenger Boy,
Eligibility:
Middle with Punjabi as one of the subjects
Salary: 4900+HRA

9. Beldars,
Eligibility:
Middle with good physique and knowledge of Punjabi up to Middle.
Should be willing and able to perform various livestock/ agricultural operations.
Salary: 4900+HRA

10.Chowkidars,
Eligibility:
Should be atleast Middle pass, must possess a driving license. Working Knowledge of Punjabi.
Salary: 4900+HRA

11.Sweeper,
Eligibility:
Must be literate, healthy and having knowledge of Punjabi.
Salary: 4900+HRA

Fee: Band Draft for Rs.200/- (Sr.No.1 to 7) and Rs.50/-(Sr. No.8 to 11) in favour of “Comptroller GADVASU” payable at Ludhiana

General Requirements :

* Only those candidates having passed matriculation with Punjabi Subject need to apply.
* Educational qualification must be from a Govt. recognized University/Board/Institution.
* Send application in the given prescribed format along with two passport size photographs.
* Age should not below 18 years but not more than 35 years.
