The Best Job In The World

Tourism Queensland in Australia came up with a “Best Job in the World” campaign earlier this month. The Campaign is offering you to apply for the contractual position of caretaker of Hamilton Island on the Great Barrier Reef.

The job has an attractive salary of 150,000 Australian dollars and includes free air tickets from the winner’s country to Hamilton Island. It is reported that the campaign is a part of a drive to protect the state’s 18 billion Australian dollar a year tourism industry during the current global market crisis.

Anyone can apply for the “Best job of the world” but you must be a good swimmer & be able to speak and write English well. To apply, you need to create a 60-second video about why you want to do this job. The last date to receive Applications is February 22, 2009. 11 shortlisted candidates will be called to to Hamilton Island in May for the final selection round. The 6 month contract will commence on July 1.

The Campaign has attracted more than 2.3 million people to its website so far and is believed to be incredibly successful.
