ICICI Bank PO Exam 2010-2011 Notification, Eligibility & Forms
ICICI Bank (nation’s largest private sector bank) has recently issued recruitment notification for its November 2010 & February 2011 Batch ICICI Probationary Officers (PO) Program. You can apply till 30th June, 2010 for these positions.
A small primer on ICICI: What is it?
ICICI (Industrial Credit and Investment Corporation of India) Bank is India's second-largest bank with total assets of Rs. 3,674.19 billion (US$ 77 billion) at June 30, 2009 and profit after tax Rs. 8.78 billion for the quarter ended June 30, 2009. The Bank has a network of 1,547 branches and about 4,816 ATMs in India and presence in 18 countries.
Schedule of ICICI PO exam 2010-2011 is as follows:
Last date of application: 30th June, 2010.
Selection Test (Written Test & Interview): July /August 2010.
What is ICICI Probationary Officers (PO) Programme?
This program is a nation wide initiative by ICICI Bank to attract bright graduate students toICICI PO Recruitment pursue a career in banking. On being selected for this programme the students are given an intensive one-year residential training program covering following:
* Corporate Banking
* Private Banking
* Risk and Credit Management
* Treasury
* Branch Management
* Relationship Management
On successful completion of the year-long training program, the students are awarded a Diploma in Banking & Insurance and absorbed as an Asst. manager at ICICI Bank at a gross salary of more than 3.5 lakhs per annum. While working in ICICI, they will also have an opportunity to pursue an e-MBA, the cost for which is borne by ICICI Bank and the students are paid a monthly stipend to take care of their expenses.
How to apply to ICICI Probationary Officers (PO) Exam?
You can apply only on-line, there is no offline application for ICICI PO Exam.

Eligibility for ICICI PO Exam:
• Graduates with 55% in any discipline
• Up to 25 years of age as on 1st November 2010 (should have been born on or after November 01, 1985).
ICICI Probationary Officers exam would be conducted at following locations:
North: Chandigarh,Dehradun, Delhi, Gurgaon, Indore, Jaipur, Lucknow, Ludhiana, Shimla, Varanasi, Noida.
South: Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore, Ernakulam, Hyderabad, Madurai, Trivandrum, Vizag, Mangalore.
East: Ranchi, Raipur, Patna, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bhubaneshwar.
West: Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, Baroda, Rajkot, Aurangabad, Goa, Bhopal, Indore.
What is the selection procedure for ICICI Probationary Officers exam:
ICICI conducts a 3-tier selection process:
1.0 Aptitude Test.
2.0 Group Discussion.
3.0 Interview.
On top of above, for the successful students, it also conducts Psychometric Profiling.
Syndicate Bank PO Sample papers, Books & Exam pattern
Focus of this blog post is on providing you the exam pattern of Syndicate Bank of India PO Exam as well as to provide you the sample papers and books for the same. Syndicate Bank of India PO Exam Pattern/Selection Process:
Syndicate Bank PO selection process consists of two stages: Written test followed by Interview.
The Written test consist of 250 Objective type questions of 200 total mark to be answered in 2-n-half hour (150 minutes). You can find from following table the name of tests along with the distribution of questions and marks test-wise:

As you can find above, the fifth paper: Test of English Language has 50 questions but bears no marks - this test is for qualifying purpose only: you just need to pass it. The marks you score in Test of English would not be counted while preparing the merit list.
There is negative marking!
Above exam pattern is given to you just to have an idea. You would know more about the exam pattern in the ‘Acquaint yourself' booklet, which would be sent to you along with the call letter.
