a) Postal Assistants In Post Offices.
b) Postal Assistants in Circle Office and Regional Offices.
c) Postal Assistants In Savings Bank Control Organization
d) Sorting Assistants in Railway Mall Service.
e) Postal and sorting Assistants In Army Postal Service.
f) Postal Assistants In Foreign Post Offices.
g) Postal Assistants In Mall Motor Services.
h) Post Ass1stants In Postal Stores Depots.
1. SCALE OF PAY; The scale of pay is Rs. 5200 - 20200 + Grade pay Rs. 24001- + admissible allowances.
2. PROBATION; The candidate selected will be appointed and will be on probation as per rules till the successful completion of probation as per rules.
3. ELIGIBILITY CONDITIONS ;
3".1 Age: (a) Between 18 to 25 years as on last date prescribed for receipt of application as shown in the advertisement and in the list containing vacancy position supplied with this prospectus.
Upper age limit is relaxable for
a) SC/ST by 5 years
b) OBC by 3 years
c) Physically handicapped by 10 years; and
d) Ex-Servicemen by the length of Military Service plus three years.
3.2 EDUCATIONAL AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS 'REQUIRES ;-

i) Pass in 10+2 or 12th Class Examination of recognized University or Board of School Education or Board of
Secondary Education (excluding vocational streams)..
ii) Candidates for the posts of Postal Assistants in Post Offices, Sorting Assistants in -Railway Mail Service and
Postal! Sorting Assistants in Army Postal Service should have the above educational qualifications with English
as a compulsory subject.
iii) The candidates should have knowledge of local languages of the State. Le.,should have studied Telugu (and! or any other local language declared as local language by Andhra Pradesh State Government) as a subject at least upto Matriculation level (SSC)
iv) Candidates with higher qualifications are also considered. But they have to fulfill the requirements mentioned in sub paras (i) to (iii) above.

iii) Desirable qualification :-Typing Knowledge and Computer Knowledge.

SCRA Exam Pattern, Question Papers & Books
SCRA Exam Pattern/format:
SCRA exam selection process consists of a written exam followed by an interview for those selected from the written test. Written test carries marks of 600 marks, while the interview carries 200 marks.
Written test of SCRA exam consists of following 3 Objective type question papers;
Paper-I: General Ability Test of duration 2 Hours for 200 marks
It contains English, General Knowledge and Psychological Test questions.
Paper-II: Physical Sciences of duration 2 Hours for 200 marks
It contains Physics and Chemistry questions.
Paper-III: Mathematics of duration 2 Hours for 200 marks.
SCRA exam pattern does not changes too often and hence future SCRA aspirants can use the same exam format as exam format/pattern of SCRA-2010/11 EXAM.

The SCRA exam syllabus reproduced from UPSC exam notification is as below:
Paper-I (i) English
The questions will be designed to test the candidates' understanding and command of the language.
Paper-I (ii) General Knowledge
The questions will be designed to test a candidate’s general awareness of the environment around him and its application to society. The standard of answers to questions should be as expected of students of standard 12 or equivalent.
Man and his environment
Evolution of life, plants and animals, heredity and environment-Genetics, cells, chromosomes, genes.
Knowledge of the human body-nutrition, balanced diet, substitute foods, public health and sanitation including control of epidemics and common diseases. Environmental pollution and its control. Physical Chemistry

3. Analytic Geometry (two dimensions)

Pair of straight lines, general equation of second degree in x and y - condition to represent a pair of straight lines, point of intersection, angle between two lines. 4. Differential Calculus
Concept of a real valued function - domain, range and graph. 6. Vectors and its applications :

Statistics : Frequency distribution, cumulative frequency distribution - examples. Graphical representation - Histogram, frequency polygon - examples. Measure of central tendency - mean, median and mode. Variance and standard deviation - determination and comparison. Correlation and regression.
Probability : Random experiment, outcomes and associated sample space, events, mutually exclusive and exhaustive events, impossible and certain events. Union and Intersection of events. Complementary, elementary and composite events. Definition of probability : classical and statistical - examples. Elementary theorems on probability - simple problems. Conditional probability, Bayes' theorem - simple problems. Random variable as function on a sample space. Binomial distribution, examples of random experiments giving rise to Binomial distribution.
Personality Test
Each candidate will be interviewed by a Board who will have before them a record of his career both academic and extramural. They will be asked questions on matters of general interest. Special attention will be paid to assessing their potential qualities of leadership, initiative and intellectual curiosity, tact and other social qualities, mental and physical energy, power of practical application and integrity of character.

BHEL ET Exam Pattern, Sample Papers & Books
This blog post follows my previous article on BHEL ET Recruitment 2010-2011: Notification, Eligibility & Forms which tells you about the recent BHEL job notification for Engineer Trainees along with the eligibilities and how to apply for the same. The focus of this blog post is on how to prepare for the BHEL Engineer Trainee Exam, by giving you the details of the Exam pattern and than pointing you to the study materials – sample papers and books for BHEL Engineer Trainee Exam.
BHEL Engineer Trainee Exam Pattern:
The selection process of BHEL for Engineer Trainee consists of a written test, followed by a personal interview. Following the written test, almost 1800 candidates are supposed to be called and one out of every three of them is expected to get the BHEL JOB!
What is the pattern of BHEL written test? Well, as you can find from this BHEL written test webpage, the exam consists of 240 Objective questions, each of 1 mark, to be answered in 2-n-half hour – you thus have just over 35 seconds to answer each question. Speed is therefore a criteria in doing well in the BHEL written test.
But at the same time, you need to be accurate as well in answering these BHEL questions correctly – as there are 0.2 negative marks for each wrong answer!
There are two sections in BHEL written test:
1.0 Aptitude Test: Consists of questions from the areas of Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Logical thinking, English usage & General Awareness.
2.0 Technical test: Consists of two parts: General engineering questions & questions specific to your engineering discipline.
Although BHEL notification has not specified anything about how many questions would be set in each section, data from previous exams shows that 120 questions are set in each of these two sections.
Is there any syllabus for BHEL written test?
No. BHEL has not prescribed any syllabus for the written test. However as per feedback from previous exams, for the BHEL Technical test, you can follow the syllabus for the GATE exam. Likewise however, for BHEL Aptitude test, no specific exam syllabus can be prescribed and you have to rely on the Aptitude test question pattern of other competitive exams.
How do you prepare for these tests?

The first place that you should look to get an inkling of what kind of questions may be asked in the aptitude test is this BHEL written test webpage, which gives you 13 solved sample aptitude questions. Also, this candidate experience in chetanasinterview.com (scroll down to the “General Aptitude” section) gives you some insights to the BHEL aptitude test questions.
But to prepare for these questions thoroughly, you need to prepare selectively for each section (i.e. Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability, Logical thinking, English usage & General Awareness). I find that these test areas are very similar to the ones asked in Bank PO exam and therefore, the sample aptitude question papers given in this blog post should definitely help you prepare for the BHEL Aptitude paper.

Envelope of the application form should superscribed " Application for the post of Junior Work Manager - ........... under special Advt. No. 52/2010" on the top of the envelope.
