Result of the (UPSC) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination

On the basis of the result of the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2010 held on 23/05/2010, the candidates with the following Roll Numbers have qualified for admission to the Civil Services (Main) Examination, 2010.

The candidature of these candidates is provisional. In accordance with the Rules of the Examination, all these candidates have to apply again in the detailed application form, which is available on the website of the commission www.upsc.gov.in from where it can be downloaded and sent to the Commission duly filled in by the candidate in his own handwriting, for admission to the Main Examination scheduled to be held from 29/10/10.

A copy of Detailed Application Form (DAF) shall also be sent by Post to the successful candidates by the Commission for admission to the Main Examination. However, those candidates who have downloaded the copy of DAF from the website and sent it to the Commission, need not send the copy of DAF to the Commission which they receive by post.

In case, any of these candidates does not receive a communication in this regard from the Commission by 08/09/2010 he/she should immediately contact the Commission in the matter giving his/her particulars i.e. name of the Examination, roll number, full name, date of birth, address etc.

The Union Public Service Commission have a Facilitation Centre near Examination Hall Building in its Campus. Candidates may obtain any information /clarification regarding their examination on working days between 10.00 AM to 5.00 PM, in person or on Tel.No. 011-2338 5271, 011-23098543 or 011-23381125 from this Facilitation Centre. Candidates can also obtain information regarding their result by accessing Union Public Service Commission Website www. upsc.gov.in. The result of Roll Nos. 256401, 340989, 551300, 551460, 548579, 275422, 275875, 288037 and 402112 has been withheld.

The Union Public Service Commission will hold the Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2010 on 23rd May 2010 for recruitment tot he Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS) and certain other Group 'A' and Group 'B' Central Services/ Posts. The Examination will be held at various centres across the cournty.

Eligibility:
Age :
Not less than 21 years and not more than 30 years as on 01/08/2010. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.
Educational Qualification:
Degree of a recognised university or an equivalent qualification.
Physical Standards:
Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.
Number of Attempts:
The maximum number of attempts permissible to different categories of aspirants, who are otherwise eligible will be as follows:

General Category : Four
+ Physical Handicapped : Seven
+ OBC : Seven
+ SC / ST : No Limit

Application Form:
The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only. OR published in the Employment News.

Fee:
Rs.50/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only. SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee).
