1. Technician "B" (Laboratory) : 01 Post
o Pay: Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- (TME Rs. 21064/-)
o Qualification : 12th Pass with Science with two years full time Diploma in MLT having 7 yrs experience in the R & D Laboratory OR B. Sc. with 3 years experience. Desirable : Candidates having exp. in handling animal and in operating In-Vivo Imaging System & Computers will be preferred

2. Technician "B" (Laboratory) : 01 Post
o Pay: Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2800/- (TME Rs. 21064/-)
o Qualification : 12th Pass with Science with two years full time Diploma in MLT having 7 yrs experience in the R & D Laboratory OR B. Sc. with 3 years experience. Desirable : Candidates having experience in operating Flow Cytometer / FACS & knowledge in Computers will be preferred

3. Office Assistant "A" : 01 Post
o Pay: Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 2400/- (TME Rs. 18672/-)
o Qualification : Graduate in Commerce with minimum one year working experience. Desirable : Candidates having working experience in Administration, Accounts, Stores & Purchase with working knowledge of Computers will be preferred

4. Clerk-cum-Stores-Assistant : 01 Post
o Pay: Pay Band No. 1 of Rs. 5200-20200 with Grade Pay of Rs. 1900/- (TME Rs. 13625/-)
o Qualification : SSC with knowledge of English Typing at 30 w.p.m. Desirable : Candidates having knowledge of Computers will be preferred

Applications are invited for the following posts to be filled purely on temporary basis at NCCS, Pune in the project "Establishment of Microbial Culture Collection".

1. Scientist 'C' Posts: Three (UR), Scale of Pay Rs. 10000-325-15200 (TME 29240 /-) Age Limit: Below 40 years.

Qualification & Experience : Ist Class MTech / MD / MVSc / MPharm / MBiotech / or Ph.D / corresponding degrees in other disciplines with original work as evidenced by patents or publications. Evidence of leadership with about 4 years experience in R & D.

Desirable Experience: Expertise in microbial taxonomy and systematics with experience in isolating novel microbes, characterizing microbial communities from environmental samples using conventional and molecular techniques including high throughput sequencing is desirable.

Job Description: Use of polyphasic approaches for the taxonomy of specialized microbial genera including pathogenic organisms, development of molecular approaches for microbial taxonomy.

2. Scientist 'B' Posts: Four (02-UR, 01-OBC & 01-SC): Scale of Pay: Rs. 8000-275-13500 (TME 23600 /-), Age Limit: Below 35 years.

Qualification & Experience: Ist Class MTech / MD / MVSc / MPharm / MBiotech / with 3 years experience in relevant field or Ph.D / corresponding degrees with about 1 year experience in relevant field.

Desirable Experience: Microbial identification, taxonomy and preservation.

Job Description: Preservation, identification and authentication of cultures received at the collection.

3. Technical Officer 'A' (Lab): Post: One (UR), Scale of Pay Rs. 6500-200-10500 (TME 18971 /-) Age Limit: Below 35 years.

Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. or equivalent with 4 years of experience or B.Sc. or equivalent with 8 years of experience.

Desirable Experience: Candidates having experience in R&D laboratory will be preferred.

Job Description: Supervision of the laboratory, help in culture identification and authentication.

4. Technician 'C' (Lab): Posts: Four (03-UR, 01-OBC), Scale of Pay Rs. 5500-175-9000 (TME 15851 /-) Age Limit: Below 30 years.

Qualification & Experience: M.Sc. or equivalent with 1 year experience or B.Sc. or equivalent with 5 years of experience.

Desirable Experience: Candidates having experience in R&D laboratory will be preferred.

Job Description: Handling and maintenance of specialized equipments like DNA sequencer, Gas Chromatograph etc.

5. Technician 'B' (Lab): Posts: Six (03-UR, 01-OBC, 01-ST & 01-SC), Scale of Pay Rs. 4500-125-7000 (TME 13031/-) Age Limit: Below 30 years.

Qualification & Experience: 12th Pass with Science with two years full time DMLT having 7 years experience in R&D laboratory or B.Sc with 3 years experience.

6. Lab Helper : Posts: Two (01-UR, 01-OBC) Scale of Pay Rs. 2550-55-2660-60-3200 (TME Rs. 7531/-) Age Limit : Below 30 years.

Qualification : VIIIth Pass.

Desirable Experience: Working in Microbiology laboratory.

Job Description: Cleaning / Washing in laboratory.

Age: Age relaxation of 5 years in case of SC/ST candidates, 10 years in case of PH candidates and 3 years in case of OBC candidates (applying for the post reserved for OBC at Sr. Nos. 02, 04, 05 & 06), will be given.
