• These posts carry other allowances as admissible. The number of posts are subject to change.
• Candidate having engineering degree in Electrical or Electronics can apply for both the posts of Assistant Electrical Engineer (General Cadre) and Assistant Executive Engineer(GTO Cadre) Electrical/Electronics however he has to indicate the order of preference in the application. Similarly candidate having diploma in Electrical or Electronics can apply for both the posts of Junior Electrical Engineer (General Cadre) and Junior Electrical Engineer(GTO Cadre) however he has to indicate the order of preference in the application.
• Candidates are advised to possess a valid email ID which is to be entered in the on-line Application Form.

The email address specified in the application should be valid/functional for at least 12 months from the date of the submission of application.

1. Job Profile:

• General Cadre officers are posted in the Distribution Wing of the Board and are responsible for maintenance and development of electricity supply to the consumers.
• GTO Cadre officers are posted at the Generating Stations, Transmission Grid, Generation Wing and Transmission Wing of the Board.

• Degree Holder can not apply for the post of Junior Electrical Engineer.
• The relaxation in marks will be available to SC, ST, BC, EBC and Female (BC), who are domicile of Bihar.
• The relaxation of 5 % in marks will be available to Land Loosers/Land displaced persons due to land acquisition by BSEB and who produces relevant certificate from DM/Dy. Commissioner.
• Applications of appearing candidates will not be entertained.

Probation Period: Three years from the date of appointment.

Application Fee: Application fee is Rs 500/- for all categories except SC/ST of Bihar domicile for whom it is Rs 125/- Candidates have to obtain requisite demand draft prior to applying online.

Application fees is acceptable only in the form of crossed demand draft in favour of “NPTI, Faridabad” payable at Faridabad. The validity of bank draft must be at least six months from the date of issue of this advertisement. The applicant must write his name, online auto generated application number and address on the back of Bank Draft. The application fee is non refundable. Before submission of application candidate must ensure that Bank draft is correct in all respects. In case of non encashment of the Bank Draft or incorrect Bank Draft, the application will be rejected. SC/ST of the other states will be treated as UR candidates even for the purpose of Application Fee.

How to apply:
The applicants are to apply only through on-line on the website of NPTI at www.npti.nic.in or on the website of BSEB at www.bseb.bih.nic.in The website shall be kept open from 22.01.2008 to 11.02.2008 . After filling up the ON-LINE application candidates have to take print out of the same. Print out of the application along with the necessary certificates as specified on website shall be sent through registered post/ speed post to: The Principal Director (CP), National Power Training Institute, NPTI complex, Sector-33, Faridabad-121003 (Haryana) so as to reach on or before the last date i.e. 26.02.2008.

Documents to be submitted along with the application by Post:
1. Print out of the filled online application form having auto generated Application Number with two photographs snapped within last 6 months duly signed and affixed on the printout.
2. Demand Draft duly endorsed with your name and online Application No. on the reverse.
3. Self signed, visible, duly attested and clear photocopy of the certificates and mark sheets of

• Degree/Diploma of Engineering (Educational Qualification) as applicable
• Certificate of Matriculation in support of age
• Caste & creamy layer Certificate and domicile certificate if reservation benefit is claimed.
