The Union Public Service Commission will hold Geologists Examination , 2011 for recruitment to the posts of Geologist, Group A , Jr. Hydrogeologists and Assistant Hydrogeologists as per the following details

1. Geologist, Group A : 300 Posts

2. Jr. Hydrogeologists (Scientist B) Group A : 07 Posts

3. Assistant Hydrogeologists,Group B : 30 Posts

Qualification : Masters degree in Geological Science or Geology or Applied Geology or GeoExploration or Mineral Exploration or Engineering Geology or Marine Geology or Earth Science and Resource Management or Oceanography and Coastal Areas Studies or Petroleum Geosciences or Geochemistry from a University


Age Limit : 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on 1st January, 2011


Last Date for receipt of online application : 19.09.2011

26.09.2011 (Offline) (for far-flung areas)

Application Fee : Rs.100/- ( No fee for Female / SC / ST / Physically Handicapped )

Online Applications can be filled upto 19.09.2011 till 11.59 PM . All Offline applications from candidates residing in Remote Areas only should reach the Controller of Examinations, Union Public Service Commission, Dholpur House, Shahjahan Road, New Delhi-110069 by Post / Speed Post only by 26th September, 2011.
