The post of Director General, (MANAGE) is of the level of Joint Secretary to the Government of India and is to be filled up under the Non- Central Staffing Scheme preferably from the IAS.

The period of deputation including the period of deputation in another ex-cadre post held immediately preceding this appointment in the same or some other Organisation/ Department of the Central Government shall ordinarily not exceed 5 years or 7 years in case the applicant is already on deputation under Central Staffing Scheme as per DOP&T’s O.M.No.31/20/2008-EO (MM-I) dated 5th September, 2008.

Age limit for this appointment shall be 54 years as on the closing date of the receipt of applications
