Public Service Commission, West Bengal invites application for following positions :

Deputy Director of Archaeology, Posts: 01 Post
Pay Scale : Rs.9,000 – Rs. 40,500/-
Age : 45 years on 01/01/2009
Qualification:
Second Class Master’s degree in Archaeology or in Ancient Indian History and Culture with Archaeology as a special subject or in Sanskrit (Gr.-I) or equivalent.
Sanskrit or Pali as one of the subjects in the Bachelor’s degree course.
Five year’s practical experience in excavation and exploration work.
Fair ideas of conservation and substantial knowledge of topography, preferably with some research work.

Police Prosecutor, Kolkata Under Home(Police) Department, Posts: 13 Posts
Pay Scale: Rs.9,000 – Rs. 40,500/- plus Grade Pay Rs.5,400/-
Age: 40 years on 01/01/2009
Qualification:
least three years’ practice in Criminal Court or Criminal Side of the Bar.

Candidates must enclose with their application a fee of Rs.210/- (Rupees two hundred and ten) only for both the posts mentioned above by Indian Postal Order which MUST BE PURCHASED ON A DATE AFTER PUBLICATION OF THIS ADVERTISEMENT and crossed and endorsed to the Secretary,Public Service Commission, West Bengal, or by a
receipted Challan from a Govt. Treasury in West Bengal or the Reserve Bank of India, Kolkata under the head “0051-00- 105-State PSC Examination fees-001-Examination fees-16 other fees”.
