Recruitment of Executive/ Legislative/ Committee/ Protocol Assistant/ Junior Library Assistant/ Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II/ Junior Proof Reader.

Applications are invited from eligible Indian citizens for the following posts in Lok Sabha Secretariat:

Age Limit :Upper age limit is 27 years for the posts at sl. nos. 1, 2 & 3, and 32 years for the post at sl. no. 4.

Qualifications :
POST No. 1: Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Assistant :-
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university.
Desirable: Certificate in Computer course recognised by AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education)/DOEACC (Department of Electronics Accreditation of Computer Courses) or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

POST No. 2: Junior Library Assistant:-
Bachelor’s degree in Library Science from a recognised university.
Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

POST No. 3: Parliamentary Reporter Grade-II :-
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university and possessing minimum shorthand speed of 160 words per minute (w.p.m.) in English/Hindi.
Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognised by AICTE/DOEACC or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.
Note: In case sufficient number of candidates with requisite shorthand speed are not available, those with shorthand speed of 140 words per minute may be considered for appointment on the condition that they should qualify shorthand test at the speed of 160 words per minute within a year, failing which they will not be granted annual increment and their confirmation in the grade deferred.

POST NO. 4: Junior Proof Reader :-
(i) Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognised university
(ii) Diploma in Printing Technology or PG Diploma in Book Publishing from any Institute approved by AICTE.
Desirable: Certificate in computer course recognized by AICTE/ DOEACC or courses equivalent to 'O' Level in terms of syllabus and duration of course as prescribed by DOEACC.

Selection Procedure :
Eligible candidates will have to appear in written examination/trade test/personal interview as per the following scheme:

Preliminary Examination for post nos. 1, 2 and 3:

The marks secured by the candidates in this paper will not be counted while preparing the final selection list. Only those candidates who obtain the minimum qualifying marks in each component and aggregate in the Preliminary Examination will be called for the Main Examination/Stenography Test.

Main Examination for Post No. 1: Executive/Legislative/Committee/Protocol Assistant :

Essay (60 Marks), Precis (40 Marks), Comprehension (25 Marks) and Grammar (25 Marks)
The paper on Constitution of India will be descriptive type and bilingual with candidates having the option of answering it either in English or in Hindi.

Stenography Test will be of 100 marks.

Candidates will have to obtain the minimum qualifying marks in both the papers of the Main Examination.

Application Fee :
Rs. 100/- in the form of Indian Postal Order or Bank DD payable at SBI, Sansadiya Saudha Branch, New Delhi in favour of Drawing and Disbursement Officer, Lok Sabha Secretariat. (SC/ ST/ PH and Ex-SM candidates are exempted)
