Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited, a leading “Navratna” Public Sector Enterprise engaged in Refining, Distribution and Marketing of Petroleum Products, with Two Refineries and a vast Marketing network spread throughout the country, invites applications from eligible candidates to fill up vacancies as per following details for its Refinery at Visakhapatnam.

04 Maintenance Technician - Electrical 01(GEN- 1, SC- 0, ST- 0, OBC - 0) First Class Diploma in Electrical Engineering [OR] First Class Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engg.
05 Maintenance Technician-Mechanical 05(GEN- 4, SC- 1, ST- 0, OBC- 0] First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engg.
06 Lab Analyst 26(GEN- 15, SC- 4, ST- 2, OBC- 5] First Class B.Sc. (Maths, Physics, Chemistry) with 60% marks in Chemistry.
07 Jr. Secretarial Assistant 04(1 for PWD-OH)(GEN- 2, ST- 1] First Class in B.A, B.Com, B.Sc with Shorthand (100 w.p.m.) intermediate and Typewriting higher in English. Knowledge of Hindi Stenography / Typing is desirable at the time of appointment and essential for confirmation.
08 Jr. Administrative Assistant 02(1 for PWD-HH)(GEN- 0, SC- 0, OBC- 0,ST-1] First Class in B.A./ B.Com / B.Sc. with Typewriting Lower Grade in English.
09 Hindi Translator cum Typist 01(OBC- 1] First Class Graduate in any discipline with Hindi as First / Second language [AND] English as subsidiary [AND] Typewriting speed of minimum 25 w.p.m in Hindi and 30 w.p.m in English [AND] Minimum one year relevant experience in translation from Hindi to English and English to Hindi in an Organization of repute.

Maximum Age Limit : 25 years (as on 01/03/2009).

Scale of Pay : Scale of Pay Rs.4225/- to Rs.10,400/-.

Selection Process : Written Test/Interview
Candidates fulfilling eligibility criteria as mentioned above will be eligible for appearing for the written test (objective type consisting of General Aptitude and Academic Knowledge) and Skill Test. The candidates will be called for the Personal Interview in order of their merit in the Written Test / Skill Test as per the Policy of the Corporation. The final selection will be made from amongst the candidates who have qualified in the written test / skill test and interview on merit subject to medical fitness. Reference for a medical examination does not mean final selection, which may please be noted.
The final selection / Offer of Employment will be based on the overall Merit ranking and being found Medically Fit subject to fulfillment of other eligibility criteria with respect to Academic Qualification, Age, Caste, No Objection Certificate / Relieving Letter from present employer etc., as may be applicable.
The Written Test will be conducted at 6 Centers: Visakhapatnam, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, and Chennai.

Application Fee.
General and OBC candidates are required to send a Crossed Demand Draft for Rs.250/- as Application Fee drawn on ‘HINDUSTAN PETROLEUM CORPORATION LIMITED” payable at Visakhapatnam. Candidates must write their name, Position applied for and application number on the reverse of the Demand Draft. Money Order / Indian Postal Order or any other mode of payment will not be accepted. Applications of General and OBC category candidates without Crossed Demand Draft will not be considered.
