POWERGRID, one of the largest transmission utilities in the world and a NAVARATNA Company under the Ministry of Power, plans to augment its existing manpower with young and vibrant workforce in the North Eastern Region, consisting of Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Nagaland, Tripura & Mizoram, and is on the look out for bright Diploma Engineer Trainees in Electrical & Civil Discipline and invites application for the following posts.
SI No Post Vacancies Qualification
01 Diploma Trainee (Electrical) 25 Nos Diploma in Electrical Engineering from recognized Technical Board/Institute with minimum 70% marks for General and OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST .
02 Diploma Trainee (Civil) 04 Nos Diploma in Civil Engineering from recognized Technical Board/Institute with minimum 70% marks for General and OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and pass marks for SC/ST.

Age as on 20.01.2009 : 27 Years

Stipend :
The Trainee employee will be paid stipend of Rs.7300/- p.m. On successful completion of training, they will be regularized as Jr.Engineer in the S1 grade in the POWERGRID pay scale of Rs. 7300-3.5%-12660 (IDA pattern) (Due for revision w.e.f. 01.01.2007) and other applicable allowances.
