Applications are invited from unmarried Male Candidates for Enrolment as Sailors for Sailor - Senior Secondary Recruits (SSR) - 1/2011 Batch. Course Commencing 31 January 2011.
* Age : Candidates to be born between 31/01/1990 and 30/01/1994; both dates inclusive
* Educational Qualifications : 10+2 (equivalent qualified with compulsory subjects Maths, and Physics, optional subjects Chemistry/ Biology/Computers.

GATE 2011 Exam Date Notification
When is the GATE 2011 Exam notification coming out? From which date GATE 2011 application form would be issued? These are the most common questions many reader of this blog are asking me as soon as GATE 2010 was over and the result announced on 15th March, 2010.
Some of these readers had appeared in GATE 2010 but may not have done well and therefore wants to appear in GATE 2011 again. The remaining readers are those who would appear for the first time in GATE 2011.
It is for this targeted audience that this blog post is being made – to let them know about the likely exam dates of GATE 2011, based on exam-date trend analysis of last 3 GATE exams – GATE 2008 to GATE 2010. Let me tell you at the outset that these are only projected dates (to help you make a study plan) and hence you have to check in the GATE site nearer notification time.
At first let me tell you that GATE exam notification always comes out on the 3rd Saturday of September month, nearing 20th September. So on the basis of this, GATE 2011 exam notification should come out on 18th September, 2010 – again a Saturday. Why does it come out in Saturdays? Well, it is because GATE notification is published in “Employment News” – which is a weekly, coming out in every Saturdays.
The Offline forms are issued and online form submission starts about 2/3 days from the date of notification. So accordingly GATE 2011 application form should be issued somewhere around 22nd September, 2010. Last date of form submission is approximately 1 month from the date of issue of forms.
GATE exam is always held on the 2nd Sunday of February. So GATE 2011 exam should be held on 13th February, 2011. Similarly, GATE exam result is always announced on 15th March of that year – so GATE 2011 exam result should be announced on 15th March, 2011.
