Group ‘A’ posts in IIT Roorkee:
1.Chief Medical Officer : 01 post
Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 Grade Pay 7600
Qualification :
MD/MS in an appropriate branch of Medicine plus at least 11 years experience in a recognized hospital of which at least 05 years must be at the level of Sr.Medical Officer.
2.Principal Scientific Officer : 01 post on contract
Pay Scale : Rs. 16400-450-20000 (un revised)
Qualification :
Minimum Qualification/Experience: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent at the preceding degree in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record throughout and a minimum of 8 years experience of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor, Senior Scientific Officer/Senior Design Engineer.
3.Senior System Programmer (Manager) : 01 post
Pay Scale : Rs. 16400-450-20000 (un revised)
Qualification :
(a) Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering/Applied Sciences (Non medical) with 10 years relevant experience or Master of Science in Applied Sciences (Non medical)/Mathematics/MCA/ M.Tech./M.E. in Computer Science and Engineering with 55% marks or its equivalent grade and 12 years of relevant experience out of which 05 years must be at the level of Systems
Analyst/System Programmer.
(b) Proven competence in handling of large computing systems and
(c) Organizational ability for coordinating and managing various services of the system
4.Asstt. Registrar (Administration) and Asstt. Registrar (Accounts/Audit) : 02 posts
Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 Grade Pay 7600
Qualification :
(a) A Postgraduate Degree with at least 55% marks or its equivalent grade. A minimum of 06 years of relevant experience in a Government Department or University/ Educational or Research Institute or in a Commercial Organization of national standing, in the scale of Rs.6500- 10500 or above.
Desirable:
(a) An M.B.A. or equivalent.
(b) Knowledge/experience of Computer Systems for information processing and retrieval will be advantageous and given weightage for selection.
5.Medical Officer (Physician) : 02 posts
Pay Scale : PB-3 Rs. 15600- 39100 Grade Pay 7600
Qualification :
MD (Medicine) from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI)
6.Medical Officer : 02 posts on contract
Pay Scale : Rs. 30000-45000
Qualification :
MD/MS from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI) in the appropriate
branch of a medicine.
OR
PG Diploma from a University, recognized by Medical Council of India (MCI), in the
appropriate branch of medicine + at least 2 years of experience in a recognized Hospital
7.Superintendent Workshop : 02 posts
Pay Scale : Rs.12000-420-18300 (un revised)
Qualification :
Ph.D. plus 1st class at preceding degree and five years experience.
OR
M. Tech. 1st class plus 7 years experience in Mechanical / Production/ Manufacturing Engineering
8.Assistant Superintendent Workshop : 02 posts
Pay Scale : RS. 10000-325- 15200 (un revised)
Qualification :
B.E./B.Tech. 1st class Mechanical/Production/Manufacturing Engineering or
equivalent plus 2 years experience.
