Essential Responsibilities:
*Work with customers to understand and resolve incidents in our
rapidly expanding application of 95,000 connected medical devices
*Work with an international team to create innovative solutions that prevent incidents from occurring
*Understand the current application architecture and design of our
complex enterprise application used to provide remote connectivity to
customer devices.
*Master, understand and support novel IOT connectivity technologies as
they are continually integrated into to the RSvP Software architecture
stack
*Monitor and understand runtime application metrics
*Aid in maintenance of current remote IOT connectivity software components
*Maintain and understand downtime data and root causes for application outages
*Handle escalations from customers and management and communicate application and outage metrics to stakeholders/customers
*Problem solving and debugging
*Maintain good relationships with teammates and customers with quality interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications/Requirements:
*Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, *Electrical Engineering or related field
*Experience using object oriented design, data modeling, and analysis methodologies
*Experience in working with Enterprise Java technologies and using application servers like Weblogic/ JBoss servers.
*Experience working with Global teams and cross functional teams
Must have:
*Unix/Linux skills Find and fix abnormal processes, use shell scripting, etc.
*Basic networking knowledge
*Weblogic and/or Jboss server management
*Apache HTTPD server configuration and running
*Oracle Database: Basic querying skills.
*Desire to learn and support users using innovative connectivity technology
*Good to have:
Java and Java EE (EJB3, JSF, servlets)
*ActiveMQ and Messaging Application experience
