Director, CBRI invites applications from Indian Nationals, who are young, dynamic, self-motivated, talented and experienced with adequate leadership qualities for under-mentioned posts :-

Out of 56 posts of Scientists Gr.IV(1) &(2), three posts and out of 32 posts of Technical Staff Gr.III(1) & (2) , two posts are reserved for Persons with Disabilities.

Eligibility Criteria :-
Scientist ‘C’ Group IV(2) - 52 Posts - (32 UR, 8 SC, 3 ST, 9 OBC)
Essential Qualification : Ph.D. in Civil Engineering/ Structural / Earthquake Engineering / Concrete Technology/ Fire / Chemical Engineering/ Electronics /Electrical Engineering/ Chemical/Mechanical Engineering/ Mechanical Engineering with specialization in Thermal Engineering /Production Engineering/ Architecture & Planning/ Civil/Chemical Engineering/ Applied Mechanics having specialization in the area of Computational mechanics, working knowledge of development of Computer Codes using numerical techniques for the solution of different type of Mechanics related problems.

Desirable Qualification :
Ph.D in Civil Engineering preferably in the area of Environmental Engineering with a focus to EIA / Environmental Management for building material Industry.
Ph.D in Civil Engineering preferably in the area of Environmental Engineering with a focus to EIA / Environmental Management for building material Industry.
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering with focus on Geo-technical Engineering.
Ph.D in Civil Engineering with focus on Construction Management and experience in the execution of building structures.
Ph.D in Fire/Chemical Engineering with strong programming skills in FORTRAN / C++ and familiarity with Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) code or Some experience in practical fire protection; knowledge of National / International fire safety codes/ standards.
Experience of instrumentation/digital electronics/ artificial intelligence.
Ph.D. in Architecture & Planning with focus on energy efficient building system, Pre-fabricated technology.
Ph.D in Civil/Chemical Engineering/Applied Mechanics with proven track record on the Computational methods, development of Computer codes using different numerical techniques and RS & GIS.

Essential Qualification:
Ist Class M.Sc.(Computer Science)/MCA/B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology or M.E./M.Tech. in Computer Science/ Information Technology or Ph.D. in Computer Science/ Information Technology.

Desirable Qualification:
Experience in areas of ICT infrastructure development. Installation, upgradation, configuration, maintenance and management of network system of L2 /L3 manageable switches, NMS, firewall, router and instrumentation. Knowledge of industry standard Networking components and technologies. System Administration of Linux OS/Windows 2003 server, Active Directory, and related IT enabled services. Knowledge of red Hat advance server 4, PL/SQL, Unix / Linux shell programming. Experience in web site and dynamic web application development LAN infrastructure development : installation, upgrade and reconfiguration to network system (PCs Servers). Ability to monitor and troubleshoot LAN/WAN and TCP, IP issues. Database / management systems : Web based programming database systems / Networking and security.

Job Requirement:
Management of Institute LAN including troubleshooting, operating systems like Linux/ Windows 2003 Server, Web development, Database design and development, Management information systems. Management & coordination for availability of Bandwidth, WAN links, Network servers, gateway routers, security appliances, firewalls. Implementation and monitoring of Network security alongwith other ICT related policies of CSIR as and when required. Coordination for AMC / Warrantee / SLAs, performance issues of Network equipments, LAN Infrastructure and associated services.

Mode of Selection:
The prescribed essential qualifications are the bare minimum and mere possession of the same will not vest any right in a candidate for being called for interview.

Mode of Selection for Research Interns : The selection may be based on a candidate’s academic records, and/or (b) performance in aptitude test, and (c) interview.

Rs.100/- (US $25 for candidates applying from abroad) in the form of crossed Demand Draft drawn in favour of Director, CBRI payable at State Bank of India (Code No.10635), CBRI Branch, Roorkee . (No fee is payable for applying for the position of RI.)
