Utkal University was established in 1943. The University is the 17th oldest University in India with its campus at Vani Vihar, BHUBANESWAR. The Foundation stone was laid by Dr. Rajendra Prasad, on 1st January 1958. It is a teaching-cum-affiliating University.

Now the University has 27 Post-Graduate teaching and research departments. JIPMER Entrance Exam 2011 Results for MBBS

Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research (JIPMER) has announced MBBS entrance test. JIPMER MBBS Merit List of candidates who have qualified in the Entrance Examination has been issued. Entrance exam was held on 5th June, 2011 for admission to MBBS Course.

Jipmer results 2011 are available Rank-Wise against the Category indicated by the candidate. The number of seats available against each category are as follows: OPH-3, UR-33, OBC-17, SC-10, ST-7, P-UR-17, P-OBC-9, P-SC.-5.

Candidates are required to be present in person for the provisional allotment counseling on 12th & 13th July 2011. Counseling does not carry any marks.

Candidates are required to the Biometric Verifications and they are required to submit all original certificates on 13th July 2011. classes will be commenced from 22nd July 2011 after due completion of admission formalities.
