The Embassy of the United States is seeking a Media Specialist to assess, analyze and identify trends in the media environment and collect relevant information. The successful candidate will also create analytic products and translate selected material from Urdu vernacular media sources

Short-listed candidates would need to go through tests in translation, current events, English writing etc. and only those clearing all the tests would be called for the final interview

Minimum Requirements:

Education: A University degree in media studies or another applicable field such as journalism, political science, economics or history. Capability to do idiomatic translation from Urdu is a necessity

Experience: Two to three years in a related substantive field (e.g. media, international affairs, military, political, economic)

Special requirements: Incumbent will be required to travel, work extended hours, weekends and holidays

Salary will depend on education and experience
