Trainee Vacancy in National Science Centre

Walk in Test/ Interview

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for engagement of Trainees in the following disciplines for a period of one year only.
The trainees are required to explain science exhibits/ exhibitions to visitors and also assist Curators/ Education Officer in Science Popularization programmes/ developmental activities being conducted by the Centre by fabrication of exhibit/ development of multimedia software etc. depending on the trade.

POSTS :

Trainee Education:

* Number of posts : 5 Posts (likely to increase to 08)
* Stipend: Rs. 6700/- pm
* Qualification: Fresh Science Graduates with Physics, Chemistry, Maths, Bio-Science or Computer Science from recognized University.

Trainee Technical (Computer Science):

* Number of posts : 2 Posts
* Stipend: Rs. 6700/- PM
* Qualification: Fresh 3 years Diploma course in Computer Science or DOE’A’ Level diploma from a duly recognized Institution.

Trainee Crafts:

* Number of posts : 5 Posts (Carpenter: 01/ Electrical 02/ Electronics 02)
* Stipend: Rs. 4600/- pm
* Qualification: Fresh ITI certificate holders who have obtained ITI certificate after passing 10th standard in the relevant trade.

MORE DETAILS:

* Eligible & willing candidates in possession of the above qualification may walk in for an on-the spot aptitude/ written test scheduled to be held on 31.08.09 at 10.00 am in this centre.
* Candidates are required to bring their bio-data on plain paper giving full particulars of educational qualification, etc. along with attested copies of their testimonials. Candidates are also required to bring their certificates/ testimonials in Original, Pen, Pencil, Eraser, etc, at the time of test/ interview.
* Those candidates who qualify in the written test for traineeship at SI. 1 & 2 (Trainee Education and Trainee Technical (Computer Science)) shall be required to appear for an interview which will be held on 31.08.09 from 02.30 pm onwards in this centre.
* For traineeship at Sl. no. 3 (Trainee Crafts) the candidate qualified in the aptitude test will have to appear for a trade test on 31.08.09 from 02.00 pm onwards and those who qualify the trade test will have to appear for the interview on 01.09.09 from 10.30 am onwards.
* No traveling charges shall be admissible for appearing in the test/ interview. No interim enquiries in this regard will be entertained.
