Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination (SCRA), 2010

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) will hold the Special Class Railway Apprentices' Examination (SCRA), 2010 on 19/12/2010 for recruitment to the Special Class Apprentices in the Mechanical Department of Indian Railways.

Eligibility:

* Age : Not less than 17 years and not more than 21 years as on 1st August, 2010. The upper age is relaxable for SC/ST/OBC and certain other categories of candidates to the extent specified in the Notice.

* Educational Qualification: Must have passes in the first or second division, The intermediate or an equivalent examination (10+2) of a University /Board approved by the Government of India with Mathematics and at least one of the subjects Physics and Chemistry as subjects of the examination.

* Physical Standards: Candidates must be physically fit according to the Regulations given in notice.

Application Form: The candidates must apply in the Common Application Form devised by the Commission for its examinations, which can be purchased from the designated Head Post Offices/ Post offices throughout the country against cash payment of Rs. 20/- only.


Fee: Rs.50/- through Central Recruitment Fee Stamp only for the candidates applyin through Offline method (SC/ST/PH/Female candidates are exempted from payment (OBC candidates required to pay full fee)). Those applying thru Online method, required to pay Rs.25/- in any branch of SBI by cash or by using Net banking facility of SBI or by using Visa/ Master Credit/Debit Card.
