Selection Procedure:
Candidates will be called for written examination on 24th May 2009 which would comprise the following:
Objective Type Tests of:
(i) Reasoning
(ii) English language
(iii) General awareness
(iv) Professional knowledge- for the post in Group A to C
(v) Numerical Ability/Data interpretation Test for the post under Group-D in place of Professional Knowledge Test.
The first three tests i.e. Test of Reasoning, English Language and General Awareness will be common for all the candidates. The Test of Professional Knowledge will be specific to each of the Groups (A to C) as may be applicable.
Test papers (i),(iii) (iv) and (v) shall be both in English & Hindi

A Crossed Bank Draft of Rs. 500/- (valid for six months) payable at Chennai purchased from any branch of the Nationalised or Scheduled Bank drawn in favour of 'UNITED INDIA INSURANCE COMPANY LIMITED' payable at Chennai should be attached with the application form. No examination fee is required for SC/ST candidates and confirmed employees of General Insurance Corporation of India, Public Sector General Insurance Companies, Tariff Advisory Committee/AICIL applying for the post. A relaxation of up to 5 years in age can be given in the case of Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe, 10 years in case of Physically Challenged applicants. A relaxation of up to 3 years in age can be given in the case of Other Backward Class applicants.
Qualification :
Category-A : (Those who have already completed M.Sc.)
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in Master of Science (M.Sc.) Degree from a recognized University in one of the following disciplines.
a)Physics or Materials Science: Mathematics/Numerical Methods must be one of the subjects studied at the M.Sc. level and Chemistry as an ancillary subject up to B.Sc. level.
b)Chemistry: Physics and Mathematics must be studied as ancillary subjects up to B.Sc. level.
Category-B
(Those who have already completed B.E./B.Tech../ B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/ B.Sc [Tech.] from a recognized University )
The candidate must have obtained a minimum of 60% marks in one of the engineering disciplines given below.
(i) Chemical Engineering (ii) Computer Science & Engineering (iii) Electronics Engineering (ECE) (iv) Electrical & Electronics Engineering (v) Instrumentation Engineering (E&I / I&C) (vi) Mechanical Engineering (vii) Metallurgical Engineering.
Category-C
Candidates in the final year/semester of M.Sc./B.E./B.Tech./B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/B.Sc. [Tech])
The candidate should be in the final year/semester of M.Sc./B.E./B. Tech./B.S. or B.Sc. Engineering/B.Sc.[Tech] Degree course in recognized Universities in one of the disciplines as mentioned above in Category-A and Category-B. However, such candidates shall have acquired marks above 60% in the qualifying degrees before joining the Centre and a minimum aggregate of 60% in B.Sc. level (in the case of M.Sc). Relevant certificates to this effect should be submitted at the time of joining the Centre.
Note: Candidates with M.E and M.Tech degrees can also apply, however they should have secured 60% and above in the qualifying degree (B.E/ BTech/ M.Sc)
Candidates in all the categories should have had consistently good academic record.
Selection Procedure:
For Science Stream Candidates under Category – A or C:
Suitable candidates under these categories will be selected based on WRITTEN TEST and INTERVIEW.
However, candidates with UGC CSIR NET Fellowship are exempted from Written Test and will be called for Interview directly.
For Engineering Candidates under Category – B or C:
Suitable Engineering candidates under these categories will be selected based on WRITTEN TEST and INTERVIEW.
It is proposed to conduct the Written Test at Chennai. Additional Centres at Bhubaneswar, Delhi and Indore will be considered depending on adequate number of applicants opting for these centres. Please indicate your choice centre in addition to Chennai.
Selection Interviews:
The Interview for all short listed candidates will be conducted at CHENNAI/ KALPAKKAM.
For candidates of Category- C of 4 above, final induction as JRFs is subject to submission of proof of obtaining 60% marks in the qualifying degree examinations, at the time of joining the centre.

Enercon Training Academy
A World Class Institution
Enercon Training Academy has been conceived, structured and established as a world class Institution, with an ambience conducive to all round personality development of individuals. The idea of establishing the Academy germinated along with the commencement of the exponential growth of our company, which underlined the necessity of having expert technical personnel manning the WECs all across the expanse of our country. The facilities in the academy include the main academic block, comprising of well-ventilated spacious classrooms, a technical library and an Internet browsing room. In addition, a Simulator room and a Model room will provide a unique facility to enable imparting hands on practical training to our young technicians and Engineers. For our mechanical fitters, a workshop has also been established where they can hone their skills, practically needed for our WECs.
Apart from the above, facilities for physical fitness, to include a well equipped gymnasium, yoga training centre, a swimming pool, and requisite playgrounds for team games have been established in the second phase. A well-designed physical training curriculum is adopted such that each fresh trainee is transformed into an ever-vigilant man of tremendous physical strength and stamina, which is absolutely essential for his career in Enercon. It is an established fact, beyond any doubt, that there is a requirement of having highly motivated, physically fit, agile and technically sound/ proficient service teams, spread out all across the entire span of the country. It is these teams who are not only to ensure maximum availability of the WECs, but also make sure that they generate and operate at highest efficiency levels.
