How To Apply

Candidates should attach attested copies of relevant certificate with the application and produce the original certificates at the time of interview, failing which they will not be allowed to appear in the interview. The age prescribed for various posts shall be reckoned as on 1st January 2008. The screening of the applications shall be made by 25th March, 2008 and names of the candidates found suitable for interview shall be displayed on the website of the Institute on 25th March,2008. The schedule of interviews shall also be placed on website on 25th March, 2008.

TRAINEE (Operator/Technician): Fresh Diploma Engineers in Chemical/ Petrochemical/ Mechanical/ Electrical/ Instrumentation/ Electronics.

Eligibility criteria and other details applicable for position Code 06:

• QUALIFICATION - Full Time Regular 3 years Diploma in Engineering (in specified disciplines indicated under position code – 06) with minimum 50% marks (relaxed to pass class for SC/ST candidates), from a recognized Indian University/Institute.

• UPPER AGE LIMIT- 25 years as on 31.03.2008.

• Stipend: Trainees will be paid a consolidated stipend of Rs.11,000/- per month

• Period of Training and absorption: The period of training shall be one year. Upon successful completion of training, they would be absorbed in regular service of the Corporation as “Operator “D”/Technician IV” in Salary Grade IV, in the scale of Pay of Rs 5400-10,850/- (under revision).

• Service Bond : “Trainees” will be required to execute a Bond for Rs. 50,000(relaxed to Rs.10,000/ - for SC/ST/OBC candidates) to serve the corporation for a minimum period of three years from the date of absorption.

General Instructions:

1. Selected candidates may also be posted in Refinery Set up at Panipat, if required.

2. Wherever CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade is awarded in the Diploma / Degree (B.Sc) examination, its equivalent percentage of marks must be indicated in the application form as per the norms adopted by University / Institute.

3. Candidates belonging to OBC category but falling in creamy layer and thus not entitled to OBC reservation should indicate their category as “GENERAL” provided they meet the age criteria specified for ‘General’ Category candidates.

4. Candidates presently employed in Govt. Deptt. / PSUs / Autonomous Bodies shall submit their printed applications through proper channel and submit the NOC at the time of interview.

FACT Ltd, Udyogamandal, proposes to select eligible candidates as paid apprentices under the Apprentices Act in the following categories.

1. Trade Apprentices

Attendant Operator Chemical Plant (AOCP)
Qualification : B.Sc.(Chemistry) with ancillary Physics, only

Instrument Mechanic Chemical Plant (IMCP)
Qualification : B.Sc. (Physics) with ancillary Chemistry, only

Eligibility : A pass in the relevant degree mentioned above.
Age limit is 23 years, as on 31st March 2008.
Duration : One and a half years

Eligible candidates may appear directly for a written test to be conducted as Age relaxation for SC and ST candidates is allowed as per rules.

2. Stipend and period of training are as per Apprentices Act.

7. Candidates from States other than Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Pondichery, and Lakshadweep, must submit a “no objection” certificate from the concerned “Regional Directorate of Apprenticeship Training” (RDAT) while appearing for the written test.
