General Instructions

1. Written Test is likely to be conducted in the first week of April 2008 (tentative).
2. Online submission of application will be permitted on the website between 00.00 hrs on 30.01.2008 till 24.00 hrs on 23.02.2008.
3. Hardcopy of application complete in all respects, must reach "The General Manager (Personnel), Engineers India Limited, 1, Bhikaiji Cama Place, R.K. Puram, New Delhi-110066".
4. The print out of application form along with the enclosures should reach us on or before 03.03.2008.
5. Applications other than the print out from our website will be rejected.
6. Candidates should have a valid e-mail address specified in the application and should be functional for at least one year from the date of the submission of application.
7. Please mention your name, address and registration number on the reverse of the DD.
8. The envelope should be superscribed with "APPLICATION FOR THE POSITION OF MANAGEMENT TRAINEE". The opted test centre with code and discipline should also be mentioned at the top left hand corner of the envelope.
9. Candidates should retain a photocopy of their Demand Draft and copy of application form to be submitted for future reference.
10. Only those who meet the prescribed eligibility criteria need apply. If at any stage, it is found that the candidate does not meet the prescribed eligibility criteria, he/she will be disqualified.
11. The number of vacancies are not fixed and varies with the requirement

1. Selection Process:
Prior work experience is not required. However a strong aptitude for an IT career is a must. To test candidates’ aptitude, an aptitude test will be conducted. The test will be of 90 minutes duration and have sections on logical reasoning ability, quantitative aptitude and English language ability. It will consist of objective questions. Each section will have 50 questions. Passing in every section is essential. There will be negative score for incorrect answers to the extent of 25%. (i.e., if a question is of 1 mark then incorrect answer will have –0.25 marks). The test will be conducted on April 06, 2008. (The exact details of time and venue for the test will be communicated to the interested candidates through their respective admit cards.)
